uPATCH is domain expert in the field of applicators for Microneedle Array Patches (MAPs). Our applicators are used not only for innovative drug delivery concepts but also for Biosensing innovations. Biosensing is a rapidly expanding sector and often makes use of microneedle patches in combination with electronic sensing devices to detect various biomarkers in the Interstitial fluid (ISF), between the cells in the skin, providing a painless, economic, minimal invasive and fast diagnostic solution for many different  

The ISF contains multiple biomarkers, such as glucose levels, lactate, enzymes and many more that provide very important information that, when using MAP’s and Bluetooth technology,  can be monitored continuously, providing valuable signals and creating the opportunity for medical professionals to monitor their patients remotely or for patients to do self-monitoring. One of uPATCH’s partners in this field is the Swiss Technology and Research Institute #CSEM, which is a European leader in Applied Research.
